IN THE MOU IT WAS AGREED TO HOST A LASER RETRO-REFLECTOR ARRAY (LRA) ON GPS III SATELLITE VEHICLE (SV) 9 AND ABOVE TO FACILITATE THE INTERNATIONAL LASER RANGING SERVICE (ILRS) TO BETTER DETERMINE THE LOCATION OF THE GPS SATELLITES AND IMPROVE SATELLITE EPHEMERIS BY REDUCING THE ERROR IN THE RANGING COMPONENT. THIS EFFORT IS FOCUSED ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE SENIOR ADVISORY GROUP AS SPECIFIED IN THE MOU AS APPROVED BY THE SENIOR IMPLEMENTATION GROUP (SIG) LEADERSHIP. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY DOCUMENTATION FOR THE FINAL REPORT ON THE TASKS FINDINGS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY A MONTHLY COST PHASING PLAN FOR THE ENTIRE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE OF THIS STUDY. THE JPSS-2 MISSION COLLECTS AND TRANSMITS STORED MISSION DATA.
