GENERAL INFORMATION Scope of Work: The USDA-Dairy Forage Research Farm in Prairie du Sac, WI seeks to procure one (1) pull-type, 2500+ gallon vacuum tanker with scraper wings capable of suctioning dairy manure from the concrete floors of dairy barns. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS 2.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks Brand name or equal requirement to Loewen Honey Vac Model 2500 with: Capacity of 2500 gallons minimum PTO driven (540 RPM PTO) w/constant velocity Towable and operable by a tractor Tires should be suitable for multiple types of terrain and surfaces Axle weight capacities (typically 8K-10K lbs or more) for enhanced durability 6-inch or greater suction inlet 20-ft auxiliary suction hose (6-inch to match rear or side load port) to be used to clean manure spills, watering troughs, and runoff from silage This material could be full liquid, to liquid with large chunks of manure mixed with hay, or straw. Which can include frozen chunks in winter. 6-inch or greater outlet capable of emptying directly into dairy lagoon Have at least one rear opening no smaller than 20” Must have a minimum of 840 total cubic feet per minute Entire unit must be no wider than 105” at any point. Scraper arms to scrape dairy manure from concrete floors Expandable to at least 12.5 ft Closed width: NTE 105” (8’ 9”) Operating Height: NTE 130” (10’ 10”) Hydraulic down pressure on the scraper 3.0 Deliverables/Schedule Delivery to USDA Dairy Forage Research Farm-Prairie du Sac.
