Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Solicitation Number: 140D0426Q0614 (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number 140D0426Q0614 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), for a re- manufactured (rebuilt), zero total time Continental engine (IO-550F-12B). (iii) This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns and includes a brand name item (Continental Engine) under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336412 Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,500 employees, and Product Service Code (PSC): 2810, Gasoline Reciprocating Engines, Aircraft Prime Mover, and Components. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov. (iv) The following is the associated contract line item (CLIN) number: CLIN 00010: Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) – Continental factory remanufactured (rebuilt) zero total time engine (IO-550F-12B) CLIN Description Quantity Amount CLIN 00010 FFP – CONTINENTAL ENGINE, Factory Rebuilt IO-550F-12B with product manufacturer warranty, all shipping costs, and core exchange credit 1 $ Anticipated Lead Time for Delivery: _______________________ (v) Description: Rebuilt Continental engine with zero total time (IO-550F-12B) for utilization on Cessna 206G aircraft that has been converted to use a Continental IO-550F. The engine should include dual impulse coupled magnetos; large 7.88” de-congealing oil cooler, P/N 654595; 24-volt starter; four- point engine mount; and spin on oil filter. Freight Inbound to Alaska (Rebuilt Engine). Freight Outbound (Core Exchange) Engine core will be sent to the successful contractor for core exchange credit after zero-time engine is received. The Contractor must provide anticipated lead-time for delivery. 2. Delete paragraphs (d), (e), (h) and (l) in their entirety. The Government will evaluate the quote(s) in response to this request and award a purchase order/contract to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to this request, will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and meets or exceeds the acceptability standards. Selected quoter must be a Continental authorized distributor or have an agreement with a Continental authorized distributor. Award will be made in accordance with procedures in RFO 12.204.
