Description

1 Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Generator Purchase and Installation Location: Mammoth Spring National Fish Hatchery 302 Fish Hatchery Lane, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, 72554 Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price Period of Performance: 30 Days After Notice to Proceed 1. Purpose The purpose of this contract is to purchase and install one (1) new standby generator, including, Transfer switch, electrical connections, wiring, and all materials and labor required for a fully operational system. 2. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, tools, and supervision to: 1. Remove and Dispose of the existing flood-damaged generator. All disposal activities shall be performed in full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the handling, transportation, and disposal of equipment and potentially hazardous materials. 2. Purchase and deliver a new generator and transfer switch that meets the specifications in Section 3. 3. Install the generator on the existing concrete pad. 4. Install and connect all required electrical components, including conduit, wiring, and connection to the existing electrical system. 5. Perform startup, testing, and verification that the generator operates correctly. 6. Provide basic training to government personnel on operation and shutdown. 7. Provide warranty documentation and any O&M manuals. 3. Generator Minimum Requirements The generator provided must meet or exceed the following minimum specifications: • Power Rating: 60 kW • Fuel Type: Propane • Voltage: 120/240 • Phase: Three-phase • Automatic start capability -- 1 of 2 -- 2 • Weekly exercise clock is set with a schedule timer that maintenance personnel are agreed to. • Compatible with existing electrical systems and connected so the original pumps, motors, and degassing chambers located on hatchery to help keep fish alive and water flowing in the event of a power failure. • Meets applicable local codes and safety standards 4. Installation Requirements • Generator is to be located on the existing concrete slab next to the culture facility. • Install generator on pad per manufacturer recommendations. • Complete all electrical connections to make the system fully operational. • Coordinate any required shutdowns or outages with the Government in advance. • Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety regulations. 5. Testing and Acceptance The contractor shall: 1. Perform initial startup. 2. Conduct operational testing and do a load test to make sure all existing pumps, lights, outlets, aeration and geothermal pumps to supply the Aquatic Education Center are functioning as with prior emergency generator. 3. Demonstrate proper operation of the system. The Government will provide final acceptance once the generator is fully operational and all documentation is submitted. 6. Deliverables • Operational generator installation • O&M manuals • Warranty documents • Training (brief onsite overview) 7. Government Responsibilities • Provide access to the site • Identify utility connection points • Coordinate outage windows if needed 8.
