QUESTION: Aluminum Door Alternate We would like to inquire whether an aluminum door alternate would be acceptable in place of a wooden door for this requirement. Government Response: The Brigade requires wooden doors exclusively. IAW with the SOW. Aluminum doors are not acceptable as an alternate and should not be proposed or substituted. 2. QUESTION: Fire Rated Requirements In regards to W9124L-26-Q-A011, are the existing doors fire rated? Are there any extenuating conditions that would require the replacement Storefront to be fire rated? Government Response The government clarified that the existing doors are fire-rated. The FT Sill Fire Department Chief stated that compliance can be met in either of two ways: using fire-rated replacement doors or using a fire-rated door frame assembly where the doors are mounted. Either option is acceptable as long as the required fire-protection rating is maintained. 3. QUESTION: Door Jam Thickness We have reviewed the solicitation documents; however, we could not find a clear specification for the door jamb thickness. Could you please confirm the required door jamb thickness for this project so we can ensure full compliance in our proposal? Government Response: the current door Jam thickness is 2 inches 4. QUESTION: Site Visit -- 1 of 2 -- MICC Fort Sill SUBJECT: Government Response to Industry Questions – W9124L26QA011 75th Brigade Door Installation 2 Will there be a site visit for this project prior to the bid date? Government Response: The site visit for this Solicitation was held on 18 May 2026 at 9:00 a.m. CDT. Please see FAR Part 52.212-1 in Solicitation.
