STATEMENT OF WORK 1. Objective/Requirements This procurement provides Allen-Bradley key switches required to support control system upgrades at NASA Stennis Space Center. The hardware will be used to expand automation capabilities, replace aging equipment, and standardize on Allen-Bradley platforms for improved reliability, maintainability, and integration performance. The items listed in this procurement include new key switches specifically selected to align with NASA control system architecture and ongoing modernization efforts. 2. Scope • This is hardware procurement only. • The contractor shall supply and deliver all Allen-Bradley key switches listed in this SOW. • No installation, testing, integration, or configuration services are included. • No additional hardware or accessories beyond what is listed shall be substituted. 3. Brand Recognition / Brand Name Justification NASA Stennis Space Center has determined that Allen-Bradley key switches are uniquely compatible with existing sitewide control systems. The following characteristics necessitate the use of Allen-Bradley brand equipment: • Native compatibility with installed Allen-Bradley racks and backplanes. • Standardized control architecture used across multiple SSC test stands and facility control systems. • Pre-engineered integration with NASA’s existing PLC codebase, communication drivers, and safety interlocks. • Proven performance in high-reliability propulsion test environments. • Ensures configuration control, reduces integration risk, and prevents cross- vendor incompatibilities. Alternate vendors were evaluated but were found not to meet NASA SSC’s requirements for reliability, compatibility, and integration safety. Therefore, this procurement is brand name mandatory for Allen-Bradley components. -- 1 of 3 -- 4. Requirements The contractor shall provide new, unused, factory-certified Allen-Bradley hardware meeting the following characteristics: • 100% genuine Allen-Bradley products (no substitutions or refurbished parts). • All hardware shall meet manufacturer specifications for key switch operation as applicable. • Items must be packaged, handled, and shipped per manufacturer recommendations. • All hardware shall be fully compatible with NASA SSC’s existing Allen-Bradley systems. 5. Exclusions The following are not included in this procurement: • Installation, setup, programming, commissioning, or testing • Field engineering services • Spare parts not listed • Accessories, mounting hardware, or special tools unless expressly listed • Logistics services beyond standard delivery 7. Acceptance Criteria Hardware will be accepted upon: • Verification of correct part numbers and quantities • Inspection confirming new, undamaged condition • Confirmation of compliance with this SOW and original manufacturer specifications -- 3 of 3 --
