The transparent armor shall be laminated construction and shall have a material alone capability of meeting or exceeding the ballistic protection of NIJ Level III. Exposed Polycarbonate surface shall be treated with an abrasion resistant coating with Certificate of Compliance.
Door Window Glass (Transparent Armor) shall meet NIJ Level III BR6 (38mm +/-5%) or BR4 (21mm +/-5%) for the applicable Chevrolet Suburban vehicles as detailed within this document. Transparent armor shall be of one-piece construction with anti-spall inner layer.
