What this opportunity is
The Department of Defense is procuring engineering, logistics support, and installation services for the CH-53K System Demonstration Test Article, specifically for modifications on nine CH-53K aircraft. This opportunity is set aside as an 8(a) sole source, meaning it is designated for small businesses in the 8(a) program, but it is primarily directed to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, the sole producer of the CH-53K. The presolicitation notice indicates that small businesses should monitor for potential subcontracting opportunities through Sikorsky, as this is not a competitive bidding opportunity.
