Description

Design and Construction. Standard 20’ L x 8’ W x 8’6” H Conex Shipping Container. There should be spray foam applied to interior wall. Spray foam should be flame retardant and mold resistant. Minimum of four lift hooks, straps, eyes, rings as required to allow attachment of chains or cables for overhead lifting of the unit. Lifting attachments should be of sufficient design and quantity to provide for stable, safe lifting of the unit by overhead crane. D-rings for transportation tie-down according to industry standard. A single vestibule on the front end of the Conex container that houses the interior entry door. The vestibule should have a water drain. Inside Wall should be 4 feet from Container Opening. Conduit size should match the system and lines that it carries. The interior entrance door should be secured with a X10 security lock. All external container doors should be equipped with a means for securing the door in the open position during normal operations. Conex box identification plates (manufacturing date, serial number, etc?) Surface Preservation. Exterior color: desert tan Interior walls/ceiling color: semi-gloss white Interior Floor. Flooring color: charcoal Non-skid adhesive strips Environmental Requirements. Wall mounted heating/air conditioning unit to provide internal environmental control. Unit should be self-contained, electric type and should be sized to maintain a nominal internal temperature of 70* F during normal operations in environmental extremes up to +120* F. All HVAC units should be enclosed in an exterior security enclosure welded to the sidewall of the container. The Conex Shipping Containers should be equipped with a minimum of four 15” x 4” (nominal) covered wall vents. Vent covers should be welded to the Conex Shipping Container external sidewall and should provide ballistic and physical security protection equivalent to the Conex Shipping Containers sidewall. Vents should be screened to exclude insects and should be fitted with interior closeable louvers. Lighting. LED lighting is required for the interior, exterior, and vestibule. Motion activated lights in vestibule and exterior. Electrical Requirements. The container should be wired to support loads from heating/air conditioning unit(s), lights, dehumidifier and electrical outlets. The container should be wired for 50amp generator as secondary power source. One standard four outlet receptacle should typically be installed on each end and side wall of the space. An additional two outlet receptacle should be installed inside the exterior IDS service entrance enclosure and should be connected to a separate circuit breaker. Another two outlet receptacle will be installed under the breaker panel and connected to a separate circuit breaker. Accessory Conduit. Intrusion Detection System (IDS): Ensure there is space on a wall for future installation of an IDS near the outlet identified in 6.3.
