Description

STATEMENT OF WORK Wood Dust Collection System for Bldg 948 Luke Air Force Base, Arizona 1. OVERVIEW: This purpose of this project is to provide and install a new wood dust collection system for the Packing and Crating function of the Cargo Movement Section located at 6504 N. 142nd Ave Bldg 948. The wood dust collection system will serve the following machines: Miter saw (2 of 4", 1 of 1-3/4") Table saw (1 of 4") Bandsaw (2 of 4") Panel saw (1 of 8", 1 of 1-3/4") Two floor sweeps (4"). 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 2.1 Provide and install one (1) Dust Collector, 7.5HP, 208V/60/3, with auto starter, for duct velocities between 3500-4500 CFM. (Manual filter shaker included. Mechanical and automatic shakers are NOT NFPA compliant. 230-gal. dump bin included) 2.2 Collector to be located inside on the south side at the west end of the working space. 2.3 Collector will be anchored to the existing concrete floor via wedge-style concrete anchors. 2.4 Provide and install Nordfab, smooth bore, clamp-together, galvanized-steel dust collection duct and fittings. 2.5 Ducting to be supported from existing structure via 1/8", 7X7, stranded steel cable and Unistrut framing channel, as required. 2.6 New ducting to serve a total of ten (10) drops. Eight (8) active ports and two (2) floor sweeps. 2.7 Fabricate and install one (1) new capture plenum at panel saw. 2.8 Provide and install manual balancing gates at eight (8) drops serving active ports. 2.9 Provide and install Black, Thermoplastic Rubber, dust collection duct hose at eight (8) active ports. 2.10 Provide and install two (2) new 120V, 3-Speed Remote-Controlled (750/950/1270 CFM) ambient-air filtration units. 2.11 Ambient collector to be supported from existing structure via 1/8", 7X7, stranded steel cable and Unistrut framing channel, as required. 2.12 Provide one (1) set of two (2) extra inner air filters and one set of four (4) extra prefilters. 2.13 Provide professional electrical services as listed below: - Install conduit, boxes, wire, from existing electrical panel to new 208V disconnect, continuing to new S-750 dust collector controls. - Install push button star/stop on or near new dust collector. - Install one (1) new 120V outlet to serve air compressor auto-drain. - Install two (2) new 120V outlets to serve ambient air cleaners. 2.14 Bump collector fan motor to check rotation. 2.15 Install must include the cost of any equipment and rental vehicles needed to complete the installation. 2.16 Install must include the cost to ship the product to the installation site. -- 1 of 2 -- 2.17 Install must include the removal of the old system and components and removal of all packaging for the new system. 2.18 Install must include a minimum of 12 months warranty for all parts and labor.
