Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System (VCB HCS) intends to procure an Electric Cart Washer to replace the existing Steam Cart Washer. The current Steam Cart Washer is non-functional and the facility no longer has the infrastructure capabilities for operation. 7. This contract will include the deinstallation of existing Cart Washer, pre-site preparation work, installation of new Electric Cart Washer, and final testing of functionality of equipment. 8. The contract will be a total “Turn-Key” project upon completion. a. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision required to complete the work. b. The Contractor shall ensure that all work meets applicable local & state code and standards. SPECIFICS (services): 9. Deinstallation of Steam Cart Washer a. Contractor shall safely remove existing stainless-steel panels around the existing Steam Cart Washer. b. Contractor shall safely remove the existing Steam Cart Washer c. Contractor shall dispose of existing Steam Cart Washer in a dumpster provided by the Contractor at the rear of the facility. d. Contractor shall furnish labor to demo/remove existing utilities that do not meet new Electric Cart Washer specifications. e. Contractor shall make adjustments to service elevator if needed for installation and deinstallation and return to normal compacity upon completion. f. Contractor shall provide dumpster for the disposal of old Steam Cart Washer g. Contractor shall provide forklift for the removal and disposal of Steam Cart Washer in dumpster 10. Pre-Installation Site Preparation. a. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to drill/core concrete for utilities required for new Cart Washer equipment. b. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to install new stainless steel cart washer. c. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to install new structural support within electrical room for the purpose of the Cart Washer. d. Contractor shall install step-down transformer in an elevated position above existing facilities electrical transformer due to limited space. e. Contractor shall ensure thermal moisture protection to include fire caulking through fire walls and fire caulking all coring penetrations through concrete. f. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to remove/reinstall designated 3rd floor window to accommodate the ICRA exhaust route. g. The Contractor shall demo/remove any utility water (hot and cold) connections, R.O system connections, compressed air system connections, and drainage system connections that do not comply with new Electric Cart Washer specifications. h. Contractor shall connect or create connections for utility water (hot and cold), R.O system, compressed air system, drainage system and any final connections to new Electric Cart Washer. i. The Contractor shall connect the Cart Washer to the existing water supply and drainage system, ensuring all connections are secured and meet applicable plumbing codes. j. The Contractor shall test the new Cart Washer to verify its performance and functionality. k. Contractor will be responsible for any and all unforeseen plumbing and electrical repairs encountered during installation and removal. -- 2 of 7 -- 11. Installation of Electric Cart Washer: a. Contractor shall connect or create connections for utility water (hot and cold), R.O system, compressed air system, drainage system and any final connections to new Electric Cart Washer. b. Contractor shall install an exhaust fan and integrate it into the existing duct system to meet cart washer specifications. c. Contractor shall install and connect all plumbing to current RO system, including installing valves to separate new lines from existing ones. d. Contractor shall install a critical water Booster above the cart washer. e. Contractor shall provide forklift to unload/unbox new Electric Cart Washer. f. Contractor shall provide crane/man-lift for removal of 3rd floor window (removal of 3rd floor window to accommodate ICRA exhaust route). g. Contractor shall furnish labor and materials to install new structural support within electrical room for the purpose of step-down transformer in an elevated position
