STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
BRASS CRUSHER POWER
Date: 18 May 2026
1.0 Background
The 6th Security Forces Squadron (6 SFS) Combat Arms requires the procurement and
installation of a dedicated power source for the "Brass Crusher" equipment located in
building 1880 parking lot. The equipment requires stable and sufficient power supply to
ensure proper operation. We request a qualified technician to assess the Brass Crusher's
specific power requirements, including the necessary voltage, amperage, and circuit type,
as well as a quick disconnect capability. Following this assessment, please proceed with
the complete installation of the required electrical infrastructure, including all necessary
wiring, conduits, breakers, and a dedicated connection point suitable for the machinery.
2.0 Scope
The contractor shall provide all materials, tools, and labor to execute the installment. The
Contractor shall perform the work according to all requirements specified in this SOW. It is
the responsibility of the contractor to validate the electrical components to ensure the
functionality.
3.0 Core Materials
The contractor shall provide and install the following:
• One (1) 45 KVA 208/480V 3 phase dry type transformer, raceways, and associated
wiring, grounding, and terminations to support machine RLLR-4001-0001.
• Furnish and install overcurrent protection on primary and secondary transformers.
• 90A circuit breaker installed in 400A Square D type HCM panelboard for primary.
• 60A fused disconnect on secondary side.
• Furnish and install underground raceway from secondary fused disconnect to
Connex location equipment to be installed.
• Install underground hand hole box adjacent to equipment location.

• Install flexible connection to equipment disconnect.
• Mount disconnecting means to outside of Connex.
• Testing, commissioning, labeling, troubleshooting, and hand off to end user as
required.
4.0 Training
Orientation and training to be provided by the contractor on delivery.
5.0 Description of Work
The contractor shall provide coordination and management of all products, equipment and
individuals required to deliver and install the Brass Crusher Power requirement. The
installment shall include all trenching, electrical conduit, break-away connectors,
transformers, and all required equipment listed in the scope.
1. The contractor shall perform tasks on MacDill Air Force Base in accordance with
(IAW) the requirements stated in this SOW.
2. The contractor shall be responsible for all personnel, equipment, tools, materials,
supervision, storage, assembly, transportation, incidentals and all other items and
services necessary to provide and install all required items for our brass crusher.
3. The contractor shall be knowledgeable of and shall comply with all applicable
federal, state, and local laws, codes, permits, DoW, AF, and base requirements and
instructions required for the performance of the duties in this SOW.
4. The contractor shall ensure policies and procedures are established that protect the
safety and welfare of customers, employees, and the community to minimize or
eliminate safety or environmental risks. These policies shall be in compliance with
Federal and Installation policies and procedures.
5. The contractor shall provide a Project Manager, responsible for project site
management, scheduling, coordination, and technical assistance to the Air Force
representative as required throughout the project.
6. The project manager or alternate shall have full authority to act for the contractor on
all matters relating to this project.

7. The contractor shall submit a complete list of personnel IAW installation policy,
including deliverymen, who will be expected to work on the installation. This list will
contain Privacy Act information as required as well as the expectation that each
individual will be able to present a current and valid state/federal identification IAW
local Air Force security requirements. (Please note that many installations require
this information be coordinated days in advance).
8. The contractor shall not employ persons for work on this contract if such employee
is known to be a potential threat to the health, safety, security, general well-being or
operational mission of the installation and its population.
9. The contractor shall be the authorized dealer of the specific office of the scope
material and equipment required.
10. The contractor shall manage ordering, shipment, delivery, and installation of all new
material and equipment from manufacturer to final acceptance by Security Forces.
11. The contractor shall provide customer service during normal duty hours, 8:00am –
4:00pm, Monday through Friday, except for Federal holidays.
12. Recognized US Federal Holidays are as follows: New Year’s Day, Birthday of Martin
Luther King Jr., Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, National
Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on Friday. If the
holiday falls on Sunday, it is observed on Monday.
13. When the contractor desires to work other than standard times, a written request
shall be submitted to Security Forces for approval. Written approval from Security
Forces must be received before proceeding with the work.
14. The contractor shall be responsible for any storage of all equipment, material,
components, parts, and assemblies prior to and during installation IAW the agreed
delivery schedule.
6.0 Design Work
The contractor shall provide professionals versed in electrical and product specifications,
able to communicate product capabilities to the customer, to ensure products purchased
meets the requirements of this SOW.
