1.0 GENERAL
1.1 BACKGROUND
The Unites States Coast Guard (USCG) seeks to procure an enclosed cargo trailer for operational use.
Vendors are invited to submit quotes that meet the specifications outlined below.
1.2 SCOPE
Vendors must submit the following information with their quote:
• Itemized build sheet
• Illustrated rendering with design drawings
• Detailed specifications confirming compliance with the requirements above.
• Delivery timeframe.
• Warranty details. Minimum 12-month manufacturer warranty.
• Must meet all applicable safety and environmental standards.
• DUNS number and CAGE code.
2.0 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS/TASKS
The trailer must meet or exceed the following requirements:

• Overall Length: 16’ of enclosed cargo space
• Overall Width: 8’ of enclosed cargo space
• Overall Height: Minimum 6.5’ interior height
• Payload Capacity: 13,200 lbs GVWR or greater
c. Flooring specifications
• Crossmembers on 12” center
• The trailer flooring shall be constructed of a heavy‑duty material capable of withstanding
repeated nailing and nail removal over the full service life of the trailer. This capability is
essential to support blocking and bracing of ammunition and explosive materials in
accordance with applicable military and USCG transportation standards. The floor must resist
cracking, splintering, delamination, or structural degradation resulting from repeated
penetration by nails, bolts, or other fasteners used to secure loads. The flooring system shall
maintain its structural integrity, load‑bearing capacity, and safety performance despite
routine installation and removal of such fasteners¾” plywood with 2”x6” boards on top (or
thickness equivalent). Flooring similar to cargo box tractor trailers or “connex boxes” is also
acceptable.
