3. REQUIREMENTS:
3.1 Hoist and set the boat listed in 1.3.1 on the blocks (either in land
or a barge) in contractor's yard to accomplish repair and preservation work.
3.1.1 Immediately after the boat has been set on the blocks, remove
marine growth and clean entire underwater hull using fresh water.
3.1.2 Bounce the boat necessary to preserve the underwater hull.
3.1.3 Remove each existing zinc anode listed in 1.3.5 for
preservation work.
3.1.4 Disconnect mechanically and remove each electrical cable from
foundation and cable hanger to facilitate preservation work and install the
same upon completion of preservation work.

TITLE:

3.1.5 Upon completion of repair and preservation work, and after
approval of CFAS PORT OPERATION, lower or return the boat onto water.
3.2 Accomplish the requirements for repair of the boat listed in 1.3.1 as
follows, using 2.2 through 2.12 and ENCLOSURE (Al for guidance.
3.2.1 Remove each existing, template, fabricate and install new
curtain listed in 1.3.6 out of new marine fabric or Equal with each new
fastener.
3.2.2 Remove each existing and re-upholster seat listed in 1.3.7 out
of new artificial leather conforming to A-A-59517 Class One or Equal with
cushion.
3.2.3 Remove each existing, fabricate and install new rubber fender
listed in 1.3.8 out of new rubber sheet conforming to MIL-PRF-900F with each
new fastener and existing retainer plate.
3.2.3.1 Clean each existing surface of retainer plate.
3.2.4 Remove each existing and install new windshield wiper and
motor listed in 1.3.9, using 2.14 through 2.16 for guidance.
3.2.4.1 Adjust and align each arm and blade of each new
windshield wiper.
3.2.4.2 Connect and verify connections.
3.2.4.3 Cable installation, penetration, connection, cable
tag, wire marking and cable way must be in accordance with 2.17. Install
channel rubber between electrical cable surfaces and banding straps. The
channel rubber must conform to MIL-PRF-6855F, Class 2, Grade 60.
3.2.4.4 Bonding and grounding must be in accordance with
2.18.
(V) (G) "OPERATIONAL TEST"
3.2.4.5 Accomplish an operational test of each new windshield
wiper and motor to verify correct operation, using 2.14 for guidance. -CFAS

3.3 Accomplish the requirements of 009-32 of 2.1, including Table One,
Line 13, Columns A (SSPC-SP 17), B and E (Finish color; Black), for underwater
hull, Table 2, Line 53, Columns A (SSPC-SP 17), B and G for each surface area
listed in 1.3.2, using manufacture's instruction for guidance. An aluminum
oxide abrasive blast media must not be used. -S130 (See NOTE 4.3)
