What this opportunity is

The Department of Defense is issuing a Special Notice for a sole source contract to ViewSport, Inc. for baseball hats under NAICS 315990 and PSC 8305, intended to meet immediate summer recruiting demands. This opportunity does not include a set-aside for small businesses and is not open for competitive bidding, as it is a bridge contract to ensure continuity while a long-term solution is developed. Small businesses should note that this is a notification only, with no solicitation for proposals or quotes expected.

Description

This is an Intent to Sole Source. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, of quotations. Due to the restrictive timelines and the inability of mandatory sources to meet the capacity requirements a bridge contract with the incumbent vendor, ViewSport, Inc is required. This is necessary to meet the immediate summer recruiting demand and ensure no disruption to operations while a long-term solution or open competition is established. This sole source award to the ViewSport, Inc . is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by way of the procedures outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 12.102(a) (DFARS CD 2026-O0028). This is not a request for competitive offers, quotes, or capability statements. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This notice complies with RFO FAR 5.101, Methods of disseminating information.
