The FDA Human Foods Program (HFP)‘s priority activities include: oversight of products, compliance on food labeling, pre-market approval of specific products, and other consumer protection related activities associated with food and nutritional products. The Scientific Laboratory Information Management System (SLIMS) is a laboratory management software that helps streamline and organize lab operations. It offers a range of features, including sample tracking, experiment management, and automated result reporting. With its intuitive interface and flexible options, SLIMS can be tailored to meet the specific needs of our laboratory, regardless of its size or complexity. In addition to improving efficiency and accuracy, the software can also be quickly and easily deployed, saving time and effort during the setup process. The current HFP Genomics Information Management System (GIMS) uses SLIMS software and a laboratory information management system to facilitate organization, communication, and analysis reporting within HFP’s Whole Genome Sequencing Program. 2.0 Objectives The purpose of this requirement is to renew Scientific Laboratory Information Management System (SLIMS) User and Server licenses to continue use of the Genomics Information Management System (GIMS) in support of FDA’s Whole Genome Sequencing Program (WGS) used for genomic data collection and analysis. Upgrade infrastructure processing GIMS application in support of FDA’s Whole Genome Sequencing Program (WGS) business needs for genomic data collection and analysis. -- 2 of 49 -- GIMS License Renewal, Support, and Modernization Solicitation No. 75F40126Q00250 Page 3 of 49 3.0 Requirement Contractor shall provide supplies of Usernames SLIMS license keys, Extra Server license keys, and Engineering Integrational Support to FDA Human Foods Program (HFP), which meet the following requirements: 3.1 Functionality/Capability Requirement Quoted licenses must include: • LIMS, ELN, ELS applications • Configuration for onsite use, for cloud use, and for large-entity level use • Microbial Regulatory Environments • Workflow and Centralized Data Management • Sample and Compliance Tracking (ISO/GAMP5) • Audit Trails • eSignature (21 CFR Part 11) • Sequencing, Robotics, and Quality Assurance/Control Integration • Scalable • Named User, Concurrent, and Server licensing • Helpdesk and/or training documentation • SSO/MFA • Meet FDA IT Security Requirements • Engineering Integration Support • API access • Large Data Handling/Ingestion of Large Data Files 3.2 Compatibility Requirement Quoted licenses must be compatible and easily integrated, with NO lag time for any users, into our current GIMS architecture and must be able to support onsite analysis and cloud computation. 3.3 Modernization Requirement. The contractor shall upgrade infrastructure processing GIMS application in support of FDA’s Whole Genome Sequencing Program (WGS) business needs for genomic data collection and analysis. 4.0 Deliverables The Contractor shall provide the following deliverables meeting the requirements delineated at Section 3.0 Requirements. Delivery of licenses shall be upon receipt of order. Deliverable 1: The Contractor shall provide license keys for 15 Named User SLIMS licenses.
