Description

Solicitation N6817126QS009 – Housing Furniture Questions and Answers: Date 15 June 2026 __ 1. Question 1: Is it mandatory for all goods to be palletized? Answer 1: Yes, this is to avoid our contractor and/or DLA to unload the trucks/container manually. It is a DLA requirement and Housing’s requirement. Additional costs would be involved if work shall be performed without pallets. 2. Question 2: Are the maximum quantities per pallet indicated in the technical specifications’ mandatory requirements, or can alternative packaging/loading configurations be proposed, provided that the goods are delivered safely and without damage? Answer 2: Yes, this is to load the pallet directly into the shelving spaces. Larger palletized items shall involve more work to unpacking and resetting in order to insert in the shelving spaces. In addition, as per past experience, too many items on the same pallets have caused damages that we would like to avoid. 3. Question 3: Couch quantity discrepancy: The SOW indicates 105 units, while the CLIN totals amount to 135. Please confirm the correct quantity. Block 45 of the SF-1449 designates NAICS code 423620 (Electrical Appliance, Television, and Radio Merchant Wholesalers) for this requirement. Given that the SOW strictly requests residential furniture (chairs, couches, wardrobes, and mattresses), will the Government consider amending the solicitation to reflect a standard furniture NAICS classification, such as 423210 or 442110, to ensure proper corporate profile alignment in SAM? Please clarify if this requirement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside or open under full and open competition. Answer 3: The correct qty. of Couch requested is 105. CLIN 0017 was erroneously input as “Couch” but it is Full springs for qty 25. NAICS 423210 is more appropriate and I will do a modification to the solicitation as soon as the ePS system will let me do it. This requirement is full and open competition. 4. Full Springs quantity discrepancy: The SOW requires 75 units, but CLINs list only 50. Please confirm the correct quantity or indicate if additional CLINs are missing. Answer 4: The correct qty. of Full springs is 75. CLIN 0017 was erroneously input as “Couch” but it is Full springs for qty 25 (total 75). -- 1 of 4 -- 5. Nightstand: conflicting top thickness: The SOW indicates both 30–35 mm and 25–30 mm. Please confirm the correct top thickness. Answer 5: Answer: 30/35 mm is the correct top thickness, sorry for the confusion. 6. Nightstand: conflicting structure material: the SOW indicates both blockboard 20/22 mm and plywood 18/20 mm. Please confirm the required material Answer 6: 18/20 mm is the back plywood panel of the night stand and also for the the chest of drawers which I did not indicate on the SOW. Please add to chest of drawers specifications. Instead 20/22 mm is the thickness of the structure and drawers laminated wood blockboard. 7. Wardrobe: unclear hinge count: The SOW lists 3 hinges per door (total 6) plus 2 vertical side hinges. Please confirm the total number and function. Answer 7: The 3 metal hinges per each door are on the two front doors (Total 6). The 2 metal hinges are on the sides (one per each side total 2) for the entire height of the wardrobe in order to allow the wardrobe to fold (see attached photo 1 and 2). 8. Wardrobe palletization: The SOW requires max 5 per pallet, but dimensions make this impossible. Please confirm the correct palletization. Answer 8: The wardrobes are collapsible so they are folded when they are on the pallet, 5 will fit. -- 2 of 4 -- PHOTO 1 -- 3 of 4 -- PHOTO 2 -- 4 of 4 --
