Description
PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
INTAC OR/UR Training Vehicle Fleet Safety Roll Bars
The Contractor shall provide the required workspace, all technical equipment and tools, software, equipment, supplies, materials, etc. required to Design, Fabricate/Manufacture/Construct, and Install Motor Vehicle safety Roll Bars for Thirteen (13) INTAC Off-Road / Unimproved Road Training Fleet Vehicles as described below.
INTAC Off-Road / Unimproved Road Training Fleet Description: Model Year 2026/2027 - 7544 - TACOMA TRD Off Road 4X4 Double Cab - 8AT - 8 Speed Automatic Transmission
At a minimum, the Roll Bars shall be constructed of the following materials:
2" x 0.120" DOM Steel tubing
6 x 3/16 flat bar steel
PAINT TEXT BLACK
Contractor efforts shall include but not be limited to:
Design the Roll Bars based upon the respective Vehicle Type and Construction
Fabricate / Manufacture / Construct the Roll Bars
Install roll bars including:
- Penetrate the truck bed to mount roll bar directly to the chassis frame.
- Welded to support pads on frame rail
- X bracing within the main hoop
- Rear support bars extending into the mid-bed area.
- Paint roll bar and all welded areas.
- Seal all areas at the points of truck bed penetration and inserted Roll Bar extremities about the vehicle truck bed with a pliable silicon or like material, etc.
The Contractor shall be responsible for providing safe transport of the vehicles as applicable between their facility and the Summit Point Training Facility, Summit Point, WV.
NOTE: Mounting the roll bar to the truck bed does not provide a safe mounting base and will likely fail in the event of a rollover. While there are similar-looking products on the market, those are generally designed for aesthetic purposes or for mounting light bars above the cab rather than for structural safety.
