STATEMENT OF WORK Manual Handheld Tonometers – Rolla CBOC 1. Background The Harry S Truman VA Medical Center, Multi-Specialty CBOC – Rolla, requires six Manual handheld Tonometers to outfit their new facility. 2. Technical Specifications Tonometer, Manual handheld a. Handheld tonometer designed to measure intraocular pressure (IOP) b. Intended for patient eye observation, glaucoma screening, and routine ophthalmic examinations. c. Suitable for use in clinical, outpatient, and screening environments. d. Measurement & Performance i. Measurement range shall be 5 to 55 mmHg. ii. Device shall use a micro strain gauge transducer or equivalent technology for accurate IOP measurement. iii. Measurement shall be initiated via a user-controlled activation button. e. Display & Controls i. Device shall include a digital display for real-time measurement readout. ii. Controls shall be ergonomically positioned for one-handed operation. f. Patient Interface & Ergonomics i. Device shall support disposable protective tip covers for infection control. g. Power & Battery i. Battery shall be removable and replaceable. ii. Device shall support portable, cordless operation. h. Physical Characteristics i. Weight shall not exceed 2.4 oz (71 g). ii. Overall dimensions shall be approximately: iii. Length: 6.25 in (16 cm) iv. Width: 0.75 in (2 cm) v. Thickness: 1.75 in (4.4 cm) i. Included Accessories i. Protective carrying case. ii. Disposable tip covers, individually wrapped. j. Compliance. Device shall be FDA cleared for its intended use. k. All equipment to be supplied under the specifications shall be the newest and the most current model of a standard product of a manufacturer of record. A -- 1 of 2 -- manufacturer of record is defined as a company whose main occupation is the manufacture for sale of the items of equipment and which: i. Maintains a factory production line. ii. Maintains a stock of replacement parts for the item. iii. Maintains, specifications, and operating manuals iv. Has published and distributed descriptive literature and equipment specifications on the equipment. 3. Warranty and Support The contractor shall provide a manufacturer’s free replacement warranty on units with normal wear and tear, including free return shipping, from date of delivery. Contractor shall specify warranty length and conditions in quote submission. 4. Compliance Any equipment or service as applicable must be in compliance with Electronic Health Record Modernization Standardization (VIEWS 12862405). -- 2 of 2 --
