Topographic Survey & Creek Cross Sections Conduct a topographic survey of the project area to capture necessary elevation data for H&H modeling. Locate existing utilities and significant land features within the designated study area. Utilize GIS and LIDAR data where applicable to supplement survey efforts. Develop a base map incorporating all surveyed features and prepare deliverables for use in the H&H study 3. H&H Modeling Prepare a FEMA Effective, Corrected Effective, and Proposed Conditions Model with Floodway Analysis. Develop a hydrologic model of the study area using HEC-RAS software. Perform hydraulic analysis to assess existing and proposed conditions related to wetland restoration efforts. Determine water surface elevations and floodplain extents under various storm event conditions. Assess the potential impacts of the wetland restoration on floodplain characteristics 4. H&H Report & Floodplain Permitting Compile results into a formal H&H report, including floodplain mapping, model outputs, and technical findings. Prepare documentation required for obtaining the local floodplain permit. Coordinate with local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable floodplain management regulations. Address comments from reviewing agencies and make necessary modifications to the permit application as required. Submit the final permit application and supporting documents to the appropriate local authority. 5. Measurement and payment Method 1—For items of work for which specific lump sum prices are established by the contract, the extent of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis is not measured or determined for payment.
