Requirement Description/ Draft Scope
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division is hereby issuing a Request for Information (RFI) from all potential sources to provide information regarding a commercial, modified commercial, or non-commercial product/service solution(s) to the below specifications:
THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE is being issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). NSWCPD, on behalf of the 2SCOG Program, which has a requirement to maintain a ready for issue rotatable pool of CVN-78 Class waterborne propulsion shafts on behalf of PMS 312. The Scope of this contract is to manufacture the following U.S. Navy CVN-78 Class Waterborne Propulsion Shafting:

Vendors shall also be capable of performing the following requirements associated with the manufacture of propulsion shafting equipment:
Accomplish First Article Testing (FAT)
Accomplish and document pre-manufacture visual inspection of Ring Gage
Document applicable RFVs
Accomplish Dimensional, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic Testing and Radiography and submit Inspection Report results
Accomplish a Visual Preservation Inspection of manufactured shaft
Accomplish a Visual Preservation Inspection of the Ring Gage
Accomplish Radiographic Shooting Sketches and Radiographic Testing of Sleeves
Submission of Responses:
Vendors are requested to provide brochures, literature and/or information on their supply/service. Vendors are further required to provide the following information:
Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), email address, ALL applicable NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large), company's socioeconomics (i.e., woman-owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, HUBZone, 8(a), etc.) and DUNS Number.
