Title: Procurement of Pelican Hook Assembly for Towing Operations
1. Scope:
This statement is for the procurement of Pelican Hook Assembly to replace missing
Pelican Hook with a towing assembly. The replacement of the Pelican Hook Assembly is
critical for the ships’ upcoming MOB-S inspection.

b. NAVSEA Drawing 804-860000 REV G (Chain Stoppers for ¾ to 4-3/4 Anchor Chain
Assembly and Details)
3. Requirements:
3.1 The vendor shall provide (1) each Pelican Hook with associated hardware, which
includes pieces 8-15 of reference (a). The Pelican Hook shall be 3-1/2” and IAW
Table # 4 for Hawser Rope Size 11, 12 of reference (a). Fabrication shall be IAW
DET 18-C, General Note (7) and (12), and Note 6 of reference (a). The finish of the
Pelican Hook and associated hardware shall have a finish of TT-V-51.
3.2 The vendor shall be responsible for delivering the ordered material to the ship or ship
the material to the following address:
