1.0 Supplies or Services:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) requests 50 commercial portable X-Ray systems that
match the specifications listed below. Shipping cost (within CONUS) is to be included in vendor’s
pricing.
System Configuration
The package must include one of each of the following items per system
1. Controller to Detector Cable
2. Diagonal Tripod Mount for the Detector
3. Controller (between x-ray panel, generator and laptop)
4. Desktop Charger for Detector Batteries
5. Communication Cable to Rugged RJ45 for MPU5 module
6. Detector (including battery)
7. Additional Battery Pack
8. Professional Software License
9. Backpack to Carry Detector and Attachments
10. Bipod Detector Stand
11. Dual Drive Luxe USB Type-C
12. USB C Female to Controller Cable
Specifications
Each system and its included parts must meet or exceed the minimum specifications listed below.
1. The detector panel shall have minimum dimensions of 14 inches by 17 inches (14" × 17").
2. The detector panel shall utilize a scintillator with a thickness of 310 μm.
3. The detector panel shall have a pixel size of no less than 148 μm.
4. The detector panel shall incorporate internal shielding consisting of no less than 1mm of
lead.
5. The system shall include a controller-to-panel cable with a length of no less than 30 feet.

6. The controller-to-panel cable shall have a secure connection with a quick release capability
in the event of tension on the cable.
7. The system shall include a detachable computer-to-controller cable with a length of no less
than 160 feet.
8. The system shall include a communication cable with a length of no less than 6 feet,
terminating in a ruggedized RJ45 interface compatible with the Persistent Systems LLC
MPU5 MANET radio system.
9. The system shall include an external battery charger compatible with commercially
available rechargeable packs.
10. The detector shall be ruggedized and suitable for field deployment.
11. The detector panel shall incorporate thermal management features, light colored casing and
face, sufficient to maintain operational performances across various environmental
operating conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
12. The system shall be designed such that no more than one cable is required at the detector
panel during placement and operation.
13. The system shall provide automatic network discovery, component identification, and
synchronization functionality compatible with the Persistent Systems MPU5 MANET
radio system.
14. The system shall be fully integrated with the Sandia National Laboratories X-ray Tool Kit
and its embedded Unified Scan Control functionality, and operates without the user’s need
to manipulate the image within the manufacturers embedded software.
15. The vendor shall provide operator training and technical support for all delivered systems,
either directly or through an authorized representative.
16. The vendor must be able to obtain access to a military base as well as Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) visitor access
17. The vendor shall provide a minimum two-year warranty from the date of shipment covering
defects in materials and workmanship.
18. The vendor shall provide all software updates and upgrades at no additional cost for a
minimum of two years from the date of shipment.
