STATEMENT OF WORK FOR DLC CTL 1050 in NASA Ames COSMIC lab Note: Only use the sections that are applicable to your service procurement. Background/ Scope DLC CTL 1050 laser will be purchased to pump the TOPO laser already available in the NASA Ames COSMIC lab. This pump laser has a narrow linewidth needed for the continuous wave cavity ring down spectrometer. This equipment is funded by NASA SMD to support NASA’s space research and missions. The IR-CRDS project supports a wide variety of NASA’s Astrophysics and Planetary Divisions’ Research and Analysis (R&A) programs as well as mission directed programs and NASA’s space missions such as Hubble Space telescope (HST), James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) and Cassini. Requirements and Specifications: · Tuning: 1010 - 1100 nm, no mode-hops · Output power: > 12 mW · Isolation: > 45 dB over the range · Max scan speed: 10 nm/s · Absolute wavelength accuracy: < 110 pm · Relative accuracy (repeatability): < 10 pm · Typical instantaneous linewidth < 0.5 kHz, · typical short-term linewidth [5μs]: < 10 kHz · Motor micro step size: 0.4 pm · Piezo scan: up to 45 GHz · Piezo step size: < 10 kHz · Output beam characteristics: · TEM00, typ. between 1mm x 1 mm and 1 mm x 3 mm · Low power consumption: typically 50 W Delivery needed by: As soon as possible.
