-- 1 of 2 -- Please see the following question in regards to the above photo relative to the following SOW statements: D. Remove and replace the sacrificial wood for Overhead Baffle#5 & Overhead Baffle#4. The sacrificial wood running approximately 108 feet in length for the overhead baffle above the targets and the baffle just before the targets, as shown in attached photo. Replace in kind material and dimension. Wood shall be pressure treated rated for outdoor use. 1. Does this include the plywood, front, middle and back? The attached detail shows 3 ea. layers of marine plywood Correct; front middle and back. 2. Are we replacing the 10 ga. steel plate? The attached detail shows 2 ea. continuous plates. No; the assumption is that the steel is in acceptable condition. E. Remove and replace the overhead baffle support beams. The wood running is approximately 80 feet long and cut to the existing dimensions with for the overhead baffle supports, as shown in attached photo. Replace in kind material and dimension. Wood shall be pressure treated rated for outdoor use. 1. In regards to this statement of work, can you point out which member of the attached detail you are referencing here? Is it the “8”x8” Pressure Treated Wood Beam”? or is it the “8”x10” pressure treated wood beam”? Or neither? The dimensions shown on the drawings are 8"x 10" for the beams running parallel to the direction of travel with an approximate length of 80 feet beam Final questions as it relates to both “D & E” above; 1. What members specifically are we categorizing as “sacrificial wood” on the baffles #4 & #5? ie. Plywood, 1”x6” boards nailed over bolt heads, 2”x6” continuous boards top & bottom, etc….. Correct. The plywood, the 1"x6" over the bolts heads, and the 2"x6" boards top & bottom are sacrificial wood that requires replacement. -- 2 of 2 --
