Description

DISTRIBUTION: DoW COMMUNITY ONLY TITLE: DINING AREA LIGHTING REPLACEMENT WC100 ATTACHMENTS: SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required to accomplish the following: General description – Replace the existing lighting and controls in the dining and served line areas of mess hall WC100 aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. ELECTRICAL WORK: -The existing recessed lighting in the dining and served line areas have been repaired/replaced with varying light source, style, lumen output, and color temperature lamps. This has left lighting in these areas inadequate. -The intent of this project is to replace all the existing recessed can lights on the patron side of the mess hall. Construction: 1. Remove the existing lighting in the dining and served line areas. Install new LED lighting and switches/controls in the dining and served line areas. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Equipment, material, installation, and workmanship shall be in accordance with the mandatory and advisory provisions of NFPA 70. 2. All conductors shall be copper, and insulation shall be 600-volt type THHN/THWN unless noted otherwise. SUBMITTALS: SPECIAL SCHEDULING AND ACCESS: Mr. Paul Mack shall be the point of contact for scheduling and access at paul.mack@usmc.mil or (910) 451-6270. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: The mess hall shall remain open during construction and work should be scheduled as to not have more than one dining area closed at a time.
