1. INTRODUCTION – The U.S. Forest Service (FS) requires the purchase of (1) 84” skid steer rotary broom
for the Eleven Point District of the Mark Twain National Forest.
2. SCOPE – The U.S. Forest Service (FS) requires the contractor to furnish a rotary with the following
specifications:
• Broom hood constructed of 10-gauge steel
• ½ in steel frame
• Guarded or inset hydraulic motor
• Minimum of 26 in rotary broom head; poly-steel broom head
• Greaseable bushings with inset zerks
• 1 ½ in thick storage stands
• Storage stands inset 64 in or less (32 in either side of center)
• Direct drive motor with built in pressure relief
• Quick exchange bristle wafers
• Minimum of 140 degrees of coverage from broom guard
• Hydraulic angle operation with wiring harness if applicable
