Cuyahoga Valley National Park is in need of Solid Waste and Recycling Removal Services at various locations throughout the park. 1.2 Work Covered by the Contract Documents: A. Project Location: Cuyahoga Valley National Park, 15610 Vaughn Road, Brecksville Ohio 44141 B. Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide Solid Waste Removal Services to include Recycling collection at various locations within the 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The contractor is to provide clearly marked containers, container service, and recycling. Markings to include description listing of accepted items. C. Multiple locations within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, as listed in price schedule and annotated below: 1. Commercial Trash Units: Pickup of five (5) commercial trash units of varying sizes at three (3) locations within Cuyahoga Valley National Park. a. Central Maintenance Area, 9329 Riverview Rd. Brecksville, OH 44141 i. One (1) 20-yard roll-off container for building debris and some solid waste to be picked up on a “will call” basis approximately every 30-60 days. ii. One (1) 10-yard container with lids for solid waste to be picked up weekly on Wednesday including holidays. b. Virginia Kendall Maintenance Area, 900 Truxell Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264 i. Two (2) 6- yard containers with lid(s) to be serviced every week on Thursday from May-October and every other week on Thursday from November-April including holidays. Container height to be 43” (min) and 52” (max) to allow dumping of trash by park staff using Cushman Carts. c. Environmental Education Center, 3675 Oak Hill Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264 i. One (1) 8-yard marked container with lid(s) for trash, refuse, or solid waste to be picked up weekly on Thursdays including holidays. 2. Residential Curbside Trash Units: Pickup of eleven (11) residential curbside trash toters at eleven (11) locations within Cuyahoga Valley National Park (1 toter per location). All curbside toters will be picked up weekly on a day determined by contractor then maintained on the same day of each week. Charges to include cost of providing container(s), collection, and removal / disposal of trash. One (1) 8-yard marked container for commingled cans, glass, and plastic food service containers only to be picked up every other week on day determined by contractor then maintained on specific day. b. Environmental Education Center: 3675 Oak Hill Rd., Peninsula, OH 44264 i. One (1) 8-yard marked container for commingled cans, glass, and plastic food service containers only. Service will be the first Thursday of each month during the months of June – August, and December – February. Service will be every other week during the months of March - May, and September – November. 4. Residential Recycling Units: Pickup of eleven (11) residential curbside recycle toters at eleven (11) locations within Cuyahoga Valley National Park (1 toter per location). All curbside toters will be picked up weekly on a day determined by the contractor then maintained on the same day of each week.
