Specifications
The following specifications shall be met for the acquisition of a skid-mounted high-
pressure cleaning/jetting system. This system will be used to clean culverts between 18”
and 24” diameter with lengths up to 60’.
At a minimum, the cleaning/jetting system shall be skid mounted and shall include a clean
water storage tank, a gasoline engine, a high-pressure pump, a hose reel for pipe jetting, a
small antifreeze storage tank, a small soap tank, and a separate hose reel for pressure
washing and general cleaning.
Components (should be made in USA) shall be assembled and mounted on a steel frame.
General Specifications:
• All components of the assembly shall be mounted to a skid as a unit. The footprint
shall not exceed 6’ x 12’.
• The unit shall be designed for cold water operations only.
• Water tank capacity: 300-400 gallons
• Multiple tanks will be acceptable as long as the capacity requirement is met.
• The unit shall come with a low water shut off feature to prevent pump damage.
• The high-pressure jetting hose shall come with a 10’ length of safety colored leader
hose.

• The unit shall come with a 2” x 36” tiger tail hose protector.
• The unit shall come with a powered hose reel with 300’ of 1/2” jetting hose rated at
16,000 PSI burst pressure.
• The unit shall come with adjustable pressure relief/control valves
• A separate power wash down system shall be provided. This shall consist of a
manual hose reel with 100’ of 3/8” diameter pressure hose. The system shall include
power wash gun/wand and set of 5 assorted spray nozzles.
• The unit shall be equipped with a safety beacon light to indicate operation.
• The unit shall come with an anti-freeze system. A 10-15 gallon antifreeze tank shall
be installed with valves to draw antifreeze into the pump assembly for freeze
protection. All low spots in the plumping system shall have the capability of being
drained of water for frost protection.
• The unit shall be equipped with a soap injection system. A 10-15 gallon soap tank
with injection valve shall be provided.
• The unit shall come with a fast fill capable water storage tank with air gap for hydrant
hook-up.
• The unit shall have at least one storage cabinet to store tools, safety equipment and
jetting nozzles. No minimum measurements are provided.
• The unit shall come equipped with a remote control for engine start and emergency
stop commands. The remote control shall have a 300’ operating range.
Pump Specifications:
• The unit shall come with a high-pressure pump with a flow rating of 10-14 GPM at
4,000 PSI.
• The pump shall be belt driven.
• The pump shall have by-pass capability to prevent pump damage when valves are
closed to the hose reels.
• The system shall have an in-line screen or filter at the pump inlet to prevent debris
from entering the pump and causing damage.
Motor Specifications:
• The unit shall be powered by a gasoline engine.
• The engine shall be fuel injection to compensate for operation at various elevations.
• The engine shall have a power rating between 35-45 HP.
• The unit shall come with electric start.
• The unit shall come with a fuel tank size between 20-25 gallons.

Nozzles:
• The unit shall come with a minimum of five “pull type” jetting nozzles with forward
and rear jets. The jetting nozzles shall be designed for cleaning soil and sediment
from culverts between 18-24” in diameter.
Turnover and Training:
• One set of Operation, Service and Parts manuals shall be provided upon delivery.
• One training session shall be included in the unit price.
• The Forest Service has the capacity to offload the unit upon delivery.
