Description

1 Performance Work Statement Small Craft Subject Matter Expert and Maintenance Technician Underwater Construction Team TWO (UCT-TWO) Port Hueneme, CA 1.0 SCOPE. The Contractor shall provide a Small Craft Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Maintenance Technician to deliver comprehensive maintenance, repair, operational support, and training for the Underwater Construction Team Two’s small craft inventory in Port Hueneme, CA. The contractor shall be responsible for all aspects of equipment readiness, including preventative and corrective maintenance, parts management, and operator training to mitigate existing capability gaps for Underwater Construction Team Two, at Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme, CA. UCT-TWO maintains five small craft and 49 units of waterborne equipment valued at approximately $3M, which is a unique mission capability within the Naval Construction Force (NCF). Currently the Command is not supported with the appropriate fleet rates, familiar with the Navy’s Small Craft maintenance and operation, and requires out-of-rate training for each Construction Mechanic assigned to the Team. The contracted support outlined in this PWS is to mitigate this gap which will reduce risk by allowing UCT-TWO to have Small Craft Subject Matter Expertise capable of instructing, operating, and performing repairs. 1.1 CONTRACT OVERVIEW. This is a Performance Work Statement and will be issued as a Firm-Fixed Contract. Contract is for one base year, to begin immediately upon contract award, with four option-years as required. 1.2 BACKGROUND. Underwater Construction Team TWO provides underwater engineering, construction, repair, and inspection support.
