1 W50S9H26QA022 – STUMP GRINDER ATTACHMENT ACQUISITION OBJECTIVE To acquire a high-torque, low-RPM stump grinder attachment capable of ef�iciently removing the large number of stumps currently obstructing drivable paths essential for security checks and base operations. This capability will signi�icantly increase the speed and effectiveness of stump-clearing efforts compared to the existing equipment, while also enhancing overall safety for operators and bystanders during on-base stump-grinding activities. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS Stump Grinder Attachment Must be compatible with Bobcat T250 and Bobcat 770 models currently owned and operated by Volk Field Civil Engineering PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS • Bit Diameter - Minimum cutting wheel diameter of 32 inches. • Hydraulic Flow - Must operate within a hydraulic �low range of 20–42 GPM, fully compatible with the hydraulic output of Bobcat T250 and 770 skid-steer models. • Operating Pressure - Capable of handling system pressures up to 4,250 PSI. • Boring Depth - Able to achieve up to 20 inches of cutting depth in a single pass. • Stump Capacity - Must grind stumps 8–28 inches in diameter in one pass. • RPM Range - Operates at approximately 7–16 RPM to provide controlled, high-torque cutting. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Operating Weight - Attachment weight shall be no less than 1,350 lbs. to ensure stability and cutting force. • Mounting Interface - Must include a Universal Skid Steer / Compact Track Loader (SSL/CTL) quick-attach interface integrated into the attachment body. • Compatibility - Attachment must be fully compatible with Bobcat T250 and Bobcat 770 skid-steer loaders without requiring modi�ication to the carrier equipment. COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS • Hydraulic Motor - Equipped with a 2-speed hydraulic motor to support variable torque and speed operations. • Cutting Blades - Cutting system shall use staggered AR500 steel blades, designed for low maintenance and extended service life. • Root and Soil Capability - Must effectively cut through feeder roots and operate in rocky or compacted soil conditions. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS • Operational Safety - Must minimize debris throw and ensure safe operation for personnel and bystanders during stump-grinding activities. • Low-RPM Safety - Low-RPM, high-torque operation required to reduce kickback, �lying debris, and operator risk.
