1. Product Requirement
The Government requires the purchase and delivery of one (1) remanufactured Fabco
TC 237 Transfer Case Assembly, Part Number 873-3061-004, for use in a
Peterbilt/Pierce PB 348 Fire Truck located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The unit
must meet all OEM specifications to ensure compatibility with the vehicle’s Allison 3000
EVS-P Main Transmission and existing drive systems.
2. Background
The United States Army Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort Jackson requires a
replacement transfer case assembly to restore operational readiness to a
Peterbilt/Pierce PB 348 Fire Truck, a critical emergency response vehicle supporting
installation fire and rescue operations.
The existing transfer case has failed and must be replaced with a remanufactured
Fabco TC 237 Transfer Case Assembly, Part Number 873-3061-004, which is the
only model compatible with the vehicle’s Allison 3000 EVS-P Main Transmission and
existing drivetrain configuration.
The replacement unit must meet OEM specifications to ensure proper fit, alignment,
and functional performance within the fire truck’s drivetrain system.
3. Essential Physical Characteristics
The remanufactured transfer case assembly shall meet the following minimum physical
and functional characteristics:
• Fabco TC 237 Transfer Case Assembly
• Part Number 873-3061-004
• Fully remanufactured to OEM specifications
• Compatible with Allison 3000 EVS-P Main Transmission
• Delivered as a complete assembly, excluding drive yokes
• Must be dynamic load tested
• Must be shipped pre-filled and include a test report documenting
remanufacturing and performance testing

The delivered unit shall:
• Perform identically to the original OEM transfer case
• Integrate seamlessly with existing vehicle drivetrain components
• Meet or exceed OEM remanufacturing standards
• Be free of defects, cracks, leaks, or abnormal wear
• Arrive ready for installation by Government personnel
5. Warranty Requirements
The Contractor shall provide a standard commercial warranty of not less than 12
months or 12,000 miles, beginning on the date of Government acceptance.
Warranty coverage shall include defects in materials, workmanship, remanufacturing
quality, and functional performance.
6. Packaging Requirements
The transfer case assembly shall be packaged to prevent damage during transit:
• Secured to a standard pallet
• Protected from moisture, corrosion, and impact
• All documentation (test report, warranty, packing list) shall be attached securely
and clearly visible

• Delivery required within 30 calendar days after receipt of order (ARO)
• Contractor shall ensure delivery carrier complies with Fort Jackson commercial
gate access procedures
8. Core Return
The Government will not provide a core return. If the Contractor requires a core return
for commercial purposes, the Contractor shall coordinate and pay all freight costs
associated with the core return.
9. Inspection and Acceptance
The Government will inspect the delivered item for:

Acceptance will occur after successful inspection.
