The Government team invites industry to come to these roundtables with helpful input to share with their Government acquisition professionals. Sessions will be 15 minutes in length, allowing individuals to attend up to four discussions during the one-hour period. Roundtable topics can be found below, and industry partners can sign up for the sessions they wish to attend upon arrival at the event. Contract Structure / Length / Type: Industry's perspective on how various acquisitions should be structured to balance Government flexibility with industry stability and risk management. Examples of topics for discussion include the optimal contract type (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost-reimbursement, hybrid), the appropriate period of performance, and whether a single-award or multiple-award approach best serves the requirement. Share what structures have worked well—or not—on similar efforts. Small Business / APEX Outreach: Industry’s perspective on meaningful participation from small businesses and leveraging the APEX Accelerator network (formerly PTACs). We want to understand the barriers small businesses face in competing for and performing on IT services work (e.g., teaming dynamics, past-performance hurdles) Both small and large businesses are encouraged to share perspectives on effective teaming arrangement, etc. Evaluation Factors / Criteria: Industry’s input on evaluation factors that are clear, fair, and predictive of successful performance. Discussion points include which factors should carry the most weight (e.g., technical approach, past performance, management, price), how to reduce ambiguity in evaluation criteria, and how to minimize unnecessary proposal burden (bid & proposal cost). Tell us what evaluation criteria we should leverage for quality, innovation, and value. Innovation / Streamlining the Acquisition: Industry’s input on modernizing and accelerating the acquisition process. We want your ideas on streamlining proposal submission (e.g., oral presentations, demonstrations, page limits, multi-phase down-selects), reducing administrative burden, and shortening the procurement timeline without sacrificing rigor. The Kitchen Sink: This open forum is reserved for any topic not addressed above that industry believes the Government should hear. Some examples could include transition risk, labor market conditions, supply chain considerations, cybersecurity and compliance requirements, security clearances, performance metrics/SLAs, etc. Nothing is off the table – if there is an issue, concern, or opportunity that could affect the success of our acquisitions, we want to hear it. Come prepared to raise the "what we wish the Government knew" items. ***************************************************************************** Update-May 8, 2026 As part of the Industry Forum, the Government is exploring a series of roundtables or "speed dating" sessions to facilitate focused discussions with industry on key topics.
