Description

Wheel Washer Procurement Statement of Work (SOW) 1. Purpose Provide and install a fully operational wheel washer to support C-130 aircraft mission readiness and squadron-level wheel overhaul operations. This capability is required following the dissolution of the centralized Wheel and Tire Shop, ensuring maintenance personnel can effectively clean and service aircraft wheels at the squadron level. 2. Scope of Work The contractor shall furnish, deliver, install, test, and place into full operational service a wheel washer meeting, at a minimum, the following requirements: • Heated wash system. • Automated brush cleaning system. • High-pressure spray cleaning system. • C-130-specific wheel and hub cleaning brushes. • Minimum internal wash chamber dimensions of 26 inches x 26 inches x 26 inches to accommodate the largest C-130 wheel assembly. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and incidental services necessary to ensure the system is fully operational upon completion of installation. 3. Installation Location The wheel washer shall be installed at the 71st Isochronal Maintenance Facility. Required electrical services have been pre-installed by the Government. 4. Deliverables The contractor shall provide the following: • One (1) fully operational wheel washer meeting all specified requirements. • Complete installation, operational testing, and system commissioning. • Operation, maintenance, and safety manuals/documentation. • On-site training for Government personnel covering operation, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. -- 1 of 3 -- 5. Performance Schedule Milestone Requirement Delivery No Later Than (NLT) 90 calendar days after contract award Installation & Operational Testing Upon delivery Training Scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon date and time between the Government and Contractor Final Acceptance Upon successful installation, testing, demonstration of operational capability, and Government acceptance 6. Acceptance Criteria Government acceptance will be based on the following: • The wheel washer effectively cleans C-130 aircraft wheels and hubs. • All technical specifications identified in this Statement of Work are met. • The equipment operates safely under normal operating conditions. • The unit is fully compatible with the Government's existing electrical infrastructure. • All required documentation and operator training have been completed. 7. Environmental and Safety Requirements • The equipment shall utilize a water-based cleaning solution with no known adverse environmental impacts. • The system shall comply with applicable industry safety standards for automated machinery and high-pressure cleaning equipment. • The contractor shall provide all applicable safety instructions and operating procedures. 8. Risk Assessment No significant implementation risks have been identified.
