1.3 HISTORIC NATURE OF THE WORK
A. The USS Constitution Museum and the Charlestown Navy Yard are National Historic Landmarks.
Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect the elements of the buildings not
scheduled to receive work. Any damage to such elements shall be repaired by the Contractor at
no expense to the Government.
1.4 WORK PHASES
A. The Work shall be conducted in a single phase.
1.5 TESTING AGENCY:
A. Provide independent testing agencies as required by the state building code and local authorities.
1.6 CODES
A. Perform all Construction in conformance with the building and design codes referenced in these
documents. The project documents refer to the following codes and standards:
1. International Building Code, 2024 Edition
1.7 CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR USE OF SITE
A. General: Contractor shall have partial use of the site for construction operations during the
construction period. Contractor's use of the site is limited as indicated on the Drawings and by the
Government's right to perform work or to retain other contractors on portions of Project.
B. Storage of Materials: Confine storage of materials to locations designated by park staff. Confine
storage of materials, field offices, equipment storage, trailer storage and parking to areas
