Description

SOW Clarifications - Amendment 2 National Elk Refuge Electrical Repairs Solicitation # 140FGA26Q0029 SOW Clarifications 1. Administrative building: Exit signs should have emergency lights/battery back up. Addition of one emergency exit sign above the west stairwell to match the east stairwell in the basement. Total should be four not three. 2. No additions. 3. Quarters 20: Clarify lights and wiring for emergency exit signs should be inspected for issues- the battery backups might be hooked up to a light switch, so if the building is empty and the lights aren't getting turned on the batteries are running down, which would explain why they intermittently quit working. All three were working and tested properly today but we have tenants back in there now unlike last site visit where one wasn't working. 4. No additions. 5. Equipment Storage Building, built in 2005, requires inspecting all interior and exterior wiring for code compliance. The current panel box has multiple pedestals on shared circuits, causing breaker to trip when engine block heaters or other equipment are plugged into different pedestals sharing a circuit. Reduce number of pedestals so that each circuit remaining is on an individual breaker. Minimum number to remain are the six pedestal boxes on North of shop next to bay doors, one in NE corner and one in NW corner and minimum two on south wall of shop (where freezer is plugged into and next to south exit door). Modify additional circuits as allowable for the space in the existing panel box. Cap removed pedestals. All outlets should be GFCI protected. Clearly label on pedestal and panel box the circuit and associated breaker. Emergency exit light needs repair or replacement of disconnected emergency lights on south wall door, test and confirm all three are working correctly. Coordinate with Refuge staff for exact locations. If parts of the wiring in the structure meet code compliance, they do not need to be replaced. Building coordinates: 43°30'53"N 110°42'41"W Additionally, clarify that emergency exit light needs repair of disconnected emergency lights on south wall door, test and confirm other two are working correctly. New addition should not be needed, all three work just the emergency lights are down on one. All three have power and are in the correct place. 6. Blacksmith Shop- Replace existing fluorescent tube lighting with protected LED lighting. 7. Winter Horse Pasture- Nothing is to code, including the metal support structure. Total replacement needed. -- 1 of 1 --
