Description

352 SOW C-sUAS Salient Characteristics Item: Man-Portable C-sUAS Detection and Identification System P/N and/or Description: Dronebuster DB5 (Disrupt) Detect, Track, and Identify System or Equal Manufacturer: Dzyne Technology and Automation, Inc. or Equal In order to be considered technically acceptable as "equal" to the brand name specified, a product must meet the following essential (salient) characteristics: *All References to “UAS” address groups 1-3 UAS threats* 1. Detection Capabilities • The system must be a passive Radio Frequency (RF) sensor capable of: 1. Detecting, identifying, and tracking UAS command-and-control links and/or video downlinks. 2. Providing directional awareness or bearing to the detected UAS and/or controller via Directional Finding (DF) capabilities. 3. Identifying and classifying known UAS platforms and/or controllers through an onboard library and spectrum reading. 4. Detecting multiple UAS simultaneously and distinguishing between friendly and unknown UAS, where feasible. • Detection Range: Minimum of 7 km under optimal conditions. • Detection Frequencies: Must detect common UAS command-and-control and telemetry frequencies, including but not limited to the 400 MHz–6 GHz range, provided it includes the commonly used 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands. • Detection Coverage: 360-degree coverage using an omnidirectional antenna, without requiring manual antenna adjustments. 2. Disruption/Neutralization Capabilities (Optional but Desired) • The system should be capable of disrupting or mitigating Group 1-3 UAS at a minimum effective range of 500 meters, with longer ranges considered advantageous. • Disruption capabilities should target UAS command-and-control links, navigation signals (GNSS), and other critical communications to prevent effective operation of the UAS. 3. Form Factor and Wearability • The system must be: 1. Wearable, man-portable, and suitable for dismounted tactical operations. 2. Designed with a MOLLE-compatible attachment for mounting on load- bearing vests or packs. 3. Lightweight, with the primary operational components weighing no more than 9 kg (20 lbs). 4. Capable of being mounted onto an MRZR. • Environmental Protection: Weather-resistant and capable of operating in austere environments. • Passive Operation: The system must not emit RF energy during detection operations. -- 1 of 2 -- 352 SOW C-sUAS Salient Characteristics 4. Power Requirements • The system must be battery-powered and include: 1. A minimum of two (2) rechargeable batteries. 2. One (1) compatible battery charging station. 3. A minimum of 6 hours of continuous operation per battery. 5. Connectivity and Integration • The system must include: 1. A data port and necessary cabling for connection to external computers (for configuration, software updates, or data analysis). 2. Compatibility with ATAK (Android Tactical Assault Kit) or equivalent tactical situational awareness platforms. 6. Kit Requirements • The system must be delivered as a complete kit within a single ruggedized, protective shipping and transport case. 7. Compliance • The system must comply with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA). 8.
