Description

Tucson Field Office Fencing Specifications Introduction This Statement of Work allocates funds for barbed wire fencing materials for the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area (SPRNCA), Las Cienegas National Conservation Area (LCNCA), Ironwood Forest National Monument (IFNM), and other areas managed by the Tucson Field Office (TFO). TFO has significant fencing needs related to both authorized and unauthorized grazing throughout the field office. These materials will help achieve Public Law 100-696, which mandates the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to protect and enhance resources in riparian areas like the San Pedro River, Gila River, and Cienegas Creek. Many fences in TFO have exceeded their lifespan. The many water gap crossings are at risk during high flow rain events and need constant repair. Additionally, recreational users often cut fences, leading to unauthorized cattle access, especially in riparian zones. The BLM is developing cooperative agreements with adjacent landowners and lessees to assist in fence maintenance and coordinate responsibilities. Specifications Deliver Date 4-8 weeks from ARO. Anticipated award date is June 26, 2026. Delivery Location Deliver materials to Carr Barn Yard, approximately 1 mile south of the SPRNCA Area Administrative Office/USFS Sierra Vista Ranger District Office.
