Qty 60 single or 30 double stainless steel wire cages, stackable to 3 high (i.e., 10 columns of 3 tiers (total of 60 cages when assembled).
A space for removable trays (included with cages) to catch manure below is below each tier. Manure trays should be designed to fully capture all droppings from each cage.
Cages can be dis-assembled for storage when not in use.
All metal parts need to be stainless steel.
Cage dimensions: 20”W x 20”D x 20”H at back wall.
1/2" X 1/2" stainless PVC coated flooring with 7-8° (~12%) sloped floor and egg rollout extending beyond the front wall of the cage.
2” x 1” of 1” x 1” wire walls
Spring hinged doors that open inward with the hinge at the top or sliding doors with a latch.
Nipple-drinker watering system that is removable at the top. Nipples should be no more than 12” apart (on center).
A feed trough (e.g., “gutter” style for manual feeding) at the lower front edge (above the egg roll-out tray) will be included that can be accessed by the birds through head holes for adult layers in the wire (see example photo below).
Stands/legs must be adjustable to level the units (the floors will have a 1/8”+/- slope to a drain) with PVC coated feet to prevent scratching the floor.
