Description

Salient Characteristic Parts required for Giant Voice repair. 56th Communication Squadron will be doing the repair. To ensure the parts successfully integrate with the existing setup, they shall meet the following exact technical specifications: 1. Siren Amplifier and RTU Assembly (Qty 2) • Required Part: Part # 44169 (or exact OEM direct replacement) • Salient Characteristics: • Shall natively interface with the existing Motorola APX6500 series O5 control head without requiring third-party modifications, external adapters, or custom programming scripts. • Shall support integrated Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) functions to receive over-the-air activation commands directly from the base giant voice/emergency broadcast system. • Shall support standard public address (PA) functions and critical warning tones (Yelp, Wail, Hi/Low, Airhorn). 2. Battery Charging Unit 110V (Qty 5) • Required Part: Part # 20045-001 (or exact OEM direct replacement) • Salient Characteristics: • Input power shall be rated for standard 110/115 VAC, 60Hz electrical infrastructure. • Shall feature an integrated smart float-charge controller with automatic temperature compensation to prevent overcharging of existing sealed lead-acid (SLA) or gel-cell backup batteries. • Shall provide a manual or automated equalizing charge switch to prevent cell drift during long-term standby operation. 3. VHF APX6500 Radio Transceiver (Qty 2) • Required Part: Part # 55978 (or exact OEM direct replacement) • Salient Characteristics: • Shall be a native P25 Phase 2 capable VHF mobile radio operating within the standard military and federal VHF band. • Shall fully support existing Motorola IMPRES audio accessories and hand microphones currently fielded by the unit. • Shall support Remote Mount configuration to allow the RF transceiver to be mounted separately from the control head in space-constrained vehicle/station cabins. 4. Miscellaneous Cables • Salient Characteristics: • Shall include all necessary OEM RF coax, power, and high-density control cables required to physically link the APX6500 transceiver, O5 control head, Battery Charging Unit, and Siren/RTU assembly. • Shall utilize heavy-duty, weather-resistant outer jacketing suitable for installation in high- vibration and variable-temperature environments. -- 1 of 1 --
