Information Security 24 Introduction Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Health Care System (SLC VA HCS) has a need to acquire a new, replacement Physiological Monitoring / Patient Monitoring and Telemetry System to include provision, installation and implementation of all equipment and systems identified below and listed in the price/cost schedule of general line items. Services shall include assembly, testing, installation, integration, warranty, and/or maintenance of line items for the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center Hospital, at 500 Foothill Dr., Salt Lake City, UT, 84148. Requirement Overview The physiological patient monitoring solution shall include systems for the: Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICU), low acuity medical surgical units, telemetry, Anesthesia, and other specialty areas listed herein. The patient monitoring system shall provide a robust full disclosure archive of patient vital records for seven (7) days, 90 days alarms storages, and interface to the inpatient charting system, known as SLC VA HCS Clinicomp Clinical Information System (CIS). The vendor will replace the existing wired patient monitoring network and will provide new wireless coverage for patient monitoring and telemetry networks. These networks must be fully approved by VA IT and VA HTM prior to the deadline for submitting quote packages. These networks must communicate with each other and with SLC VA HCS CIS. Further information and details about each item and any services required is provided in section 3. The vendor is required to provide fully functional system(s) for all items listed. Table 1 – Package Items Summary Functional and Technical Specifications ICU Patient Monitor – Qty 13 (Line item #0001) The vendor shall provide all required hardware including mounts, rails, etc., software, and user interface requirements necessary to provide a fully functioning physiological patient monitoring solution. The bedside monitors will need to interface with appropriate informatics and charting systems based on their care area via RS232 port. This includes Clinicomp, Cerner, and/or Draeger ARK as appropriate. The selected model must be on the Clinicomp, Cerner, and Draeger ARK pre-approval list of interfaces prior to contract award. At a minimum, the vendor shall provide a bedside monitor with the following clinical and physical characteristics: Equipment Features and Characteristics Parameters Monitored: at a minimum, the Offeror may propose equal or better than the following parameter requirements: 5-lead ST-segment; BIS; CCO; CO; CPP; ECG/HR; EEG; 2 IBP; 2 NIBP; PPV; PR; QT; QTc; multi-lead arrhythmia, OxyCRG, respiration, side-stream/mainstream/micro-stream ETCO2, spirometry, Masimo SP02, SvO2, tcpO2/tcpCO2, temperature, arrhythmia detection, ST MAP, 8 waveforms, 4 invasive pressures, pre/post-anesthesia, ventilator, and cardiac output integration. Temperature probe types and inputs include skin, esophageal, rectal and bladder, must be capable of alarm default settings for high/low blood pressures.
