Anti-Microbial Shelving Units

1. Introduction / Background
The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC), Station 667, requires the replacement of all shelving units currently installed in the facility’s walk‑in freezers and refrigerators. Existing shelving is at end-of-life and no longer meets operational needs. The contractor shall provide only the quantities and specifications detailed in this SOW; no additional shelving is required unless formally directed by the Contracting Officer.
2. Scope of Work
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to remove existing shelving and install new anti‑microbial shelving units that strictly conform to the specifications in Section 7.
The contractor shall:
- Remove all existing shelving units.
- Dispose of removed shelving per all federal, state, local, and VA requirements.
- Provide and install Forty-one (41) new shelving units meeting all specifications listed in this SOW.
- Ensure all units are fully assembled, leveled, and operational upon installation.
3. Major Requirements
- All packing materials must be removed from the VA facility.
- Installed shelving must be fully operational.

8. Site Conditions & Pre‑Installation Verification
The contractor shall verify all site measurements and installation conditions before beginning work. Any discrepancies must be reported to the Contracting Officer.
9. Final Acceptance
The COR will inspect all installed shelving. Acceptance requires proper assembly, cleanup, and operational readiness.
