[End of Section] -- 5 of 82 -- 6 SECTION B – SUPPLIES OR SERVICES AND PRICES/COST B.1 DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES Under the policies and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in conjunction with Part 15, Contracting by Negotiations, the Contractor(s) shall provide 9mm Luger caliber ammunition. The FBI is seeking contracts for the following types of 9mm Luger caliber ammunition: service, training, and frangible ammunition. B.2 TYPE OF CONTRACT The FBI intends to make up to three (3) contract awards. The contract(s) will be unrestricted and structured as Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ), type contracts for one (1) base year, four (4) possible one-year option periods, and a potential 6-month extension in accordance with FAR 52.217-9. The Government intends to have 9mm ammunition contract(s) in place covering each of the three (3) categories (i.e., service, training, and frangible). This may be accomplished with three (3) separate contracts. In the event an Offeror is awarded contracts in more than one (1) category of ammunition, the Government reserves the right to consolidate those into one (1) contract. B.3 CONTRACT AND ORDER LIMITATIONS Delivery shall be made only as authorized by orders issued in accordance with the Ordering clause. The Contractor shall furnish to the Government, when and if ordered, the supplies specified in the Schedule up to and including the quantities designated in the Schedule as the “maximum.” The Government shall order at least the quantity of supplies or services designated as the “minimum,” hereby established as $1,000.00 per IDIQ, over the life of the contract established. This minimum shall be set for each ammunition category. The Government shall not be required to purchase from the Contractor any additional quantities after the initial guaranteed minimum. The obligation of funds and specific quantities will be ordered through individual delivery orders or the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program.
