USCGC ABBIE BURGESS
CO2 AND GALLEY FIRE SUPRESSION MAINTENANCE
SCOPE OF WORK:
Project objecƟves include annual and semi-annual maintenance on shipboard installed CO2 and
Galley Fire Suppression systems. Work must be completed for ship to comply IAW
COMDTINST 3120.21C CUTTER SAFE-TO-SAIL (STS) MINIMUM CRITICAL EQUIPMENT.
CGC ABBIE BURGESS has 03 installed CO2 fire suppression systems inside machinery
spaces that need required semi-annual and annual maintenance completed. Maintenance
includes weighing 09 CO2 cylinders, tesƟng pipe integrity, pressure switches, audible and visual
alarms, Ɵme delay cylinders, and pull cables for acƟvaƟon of system. Work will also include
replacing 09 cylinder hoses due to expiring hydrostaƟc test date in September.
CGC ABBIE BURGESS will also need semi-annual maintenance completed for the R-102 APC
Fire Suppression system in the Galley. Work includes weighing APC cartridge; tesƟng pull
cables and replacing 03 fusible links.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:
LocaƟon: Coast Guard Pier at 54 Tillson Ave. Rockland, ME.
Date: Work to be done within 10 days of contract award.
Hours of OperaƟon: Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 3:00pm
Work will be scheduled during these hours unless another Ɵme is specified and agreed to.
CONTRACTING:
When contract is awarded, the government will idenƟfy a ContracƟng Officer who will be the
ONLY person authorized to make changes to contract terms and condiƟons.
ContracƟng Officer will be the Contractor’s point of contact for payment.
