Description

Statement of Need – 502 Communications Squadron JBSA-Lackland SCOW 1.0 General Information. 1.1 Scope: The contractor shall provide and deliver all necessary materials, equipment, and consumables specified. No installation, testing, splicing, or site preparation services are required under this SOW. The primary objective is strictly the procurement and delivery of materials. All materials must be "brand name or equal" and meet or exceed the salient characteristics listed in the requirement. 1.2 Background: The 502 Communication Squadron is in dire need of the list of material below. The material is for the relocation of the government infrastructure in the pathway in support of a city project. 1.3 Essential / Salient Characteristics: All materials below Brand Name, therefore all items must meet the salient characteristic. PART NUMBER MANUFACTURE/Part Name SALIENT CHARACTERISTIC QUANTITY DB-600P24-AL- 89-ESS-CUT REEL Superior Essex - 600 Pair 24 Gauge Copper Cable Copper Cable, 24 AWG, Shielded, Polyethylene, 600, Black (Jacket), 1250 Feet per Reel, Inhibits Corrosion, Moisture-Resistant 2000 FT -- 1 of 17 -- 288EU4- T4700D20 Corning - Fiber Optic Cable, Black, Singlemode (OS2), 288 Fiber Corning ALTOS® cable with Fast Access® technology is an all- dielectric gel-free cable designed for outdoor and limited indoor use for campus backbones in lashed aerial and duct installations. The innovative Fast Access technology feature combined with the all- dielectric gel-free loose tube design simplifies removal of the cable jacket reducing cable end access time by at least 50 percent. Equally important is the overall reduction in risk of inadvertent fiber damage and risk to installers from sharp cable access tools. The cable is fully water blocked using craft-friendly, water- swellable materials, which means no clean up is required. The flexible buffer tubes are easy to route in closures, and the SZ-stranded, loose tube design isolates fibers from installation and environmental rigors while allowing easy mid-span access. The all-dielectric gel-free cable construction requires no bonding or grounding, and these cables have a medium-density polyethylene jacket that is rugged, durable and easy to handle. 5500 FT -- 2 of 17 -- 072EU4- T4700D20 Corning - ALTOS® Loose Tube, Gel-Free, All-Dielectric Cable with FastAccess® Technology 72 F, Single-mode (OS2) Corning ALTOS® cable with FastAccess® technology is an all- dielectric gel-free cable designed for outdoor and limited indoor use for campus backbones in lashed aerial and duct installations. A variety of fiber types are available including 62.5 μm and 50 μm, single-mode and hybrid versions, as well as fibers 4144 FT -- 3 of 17 -- with Gigabit and 10Gigabit Ethernet performance. The part number 072EU4- T4700D20 refers to Corning ALTOS® Loose Tube, Gel-Free, All-Dielectric Fiber Optic Cable (OS2, 72 Fiber). To qualify as an "or equal" substitute, an alternative must be an outdoor, all-dielectric loose- tube cable containing 72 single-mode (OS2) fibers organized in dry, gel- free buffer tubes. It must feature water-swellable dry tape, a rugged polyethylene jacket designed for duct or aerial installations, and comply with Telcordia GR-20 performance standards. CCH-04U Corning - Closet Connector Housing (CCH) Four Rack Units, holds 12 CCH Connector Panels Closet connector housings (CCHs) provide interconnect or cross- connect capabilities between outside plant, riser or distribution cables and opto-electronics. Like other LANscape solutions hardware, the housings accept CCH connector panels. In addition, the housings accept CCH cassettes and CCH modules. From fiber and cable routing and strain relief, to port labeling and termination, these housings reduce the risk of error that can disrupt networks. The units are 2 EA -- 4 of 17 -- designed for rack mounting in 19-in (48 cm) racks or optional 23-in (58 cm) equipment racks (1.75-in EIA hole spacing). They are available in rack space options of 1U (two panels, cassettes or modules), 2U (four panels, cassettes or modules), 3U (six panels, cassettes or modules) and 4U (12 panels, cassettes or modules). The 1U, 2U and 3U options feature a slide-out tray and see-through, removable top covers. The CCH-04U features a clear door, removable front and rear enclosures and a platinum-colored interior for maximum visibility and access.Every CCH housing is shipped complete with strain relief brackets, routing clips and guides, and mounting brackets for proper installation. Documentation labels are provided and components can be added as needed to construct a fiber distribution frame for any application. All housings include a removable tinted polycarbonate front door. -- 5 of 17 -- CCH-CS24-A9- P00RJ Corning - CCH SPL CASSETTE SM 24F LC-DUPLEX RIB Closet Connector Housing (CCH) pigtailed splice cassettes enable faster field splicing and easy modular management of connectorization within the housing.
