NOTICE TYPE This is a Sources Sought Notice issued solely for Market Research under FAR 15.201(e).It is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Invitation for Bid (IFB), and no solicitation exists at this time. Responses are voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with submitting information. Submission does not guarantee participation in any future solicitation. PROJECT OVERVIEW The National Park Service (NPS) seeks information from capable firms to provide elevator services as described in the below draft SOW. Delivery Location Little Bighorn Battlefield National MonumentVisitor Center Museum in Garryowen, MTGarryowen, MT 59031 P Period September 1, 2026, through August 30, 2026. 3. PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE NPS is conducting market research to: • Identify qualified small and large business concerns• Determine industry capability to provide the required services in the draft SOW• Support acquisition strategy and potential set‑aside determinations All information received will be used for planning purposes only. 4. APPENDIX A – SATEMENT OF WORK Elevator Preventive Maintenance and ServiceFacility: Visitor CenterManufacturer: Otis Elevator CompanyService Location: Crow Agency, MTElevator Type: Gearless Belted MR (Machine Number U1HJ50)Contractor: Otis Elevator Company – Billings, MT 1. Purpose The purpose of this SOW is to establish a comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and emergency service program for the newly installed Otis Gearless Belted MR elevator, Machine Number U1HJ50 at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument ne Visitor Center. The contractor shall ensure the elevator operates safely, reliably, and in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards, including ASME A17.1/CSA B44. 2. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to: Preventive Maintenance Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and calibration of all mechanical, electrical, and safety components specific to the gearless belted MR drive system (U1HJ50). Inspect door operators, interlocks, guide rails, control systems, hoistway, pit, car top, emergency lighting, alarms, and communication devices. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation of all work performed. Testing and Compliance Conduct annual and periodic safety tests per ASME A17.1/CSA B44. Coordinate required inspections with state elevator authorities. Provide written inspection reports and testing documentation. Corrective Maintenance Identify and correct deficiencies, including replacement of OEM-approved parts specific to the U1HJ50 MR elevator drive system. Obtain approval for non-covered repairs prior to performing work. Emergency Response Provide emergency service for passenger entrapments or elevator malfunctions. Respond to emergency calls within two hours of notification. Document all emergency response actions, including resolution and safety verification. Documentation and Reporting Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and service logs. Submit service reports, inspection results, and emergency response documentation to the facility representative. Record all parts replaced, work completed, and safety compliance checks. 3. Contractor Qualifications Must be an Otis-authorized service provider. Technicians must be trained, licensed, and certified on Otis Gearless Belted MR elevators, Machine Number U1HJ50. Must comply with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations. Must maintain liability insurance, workers’ compensation coverage, and any required state licensing. 4. Materials and Parts All replacement parts must be OEM-approved for the U1HJ50 MR drive system.
