GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: 2.0 Background: Item will be used to analyze carbon dioxide, methane, oxygen, and hydrogen eructation from finishing beef cattle. These are foundational measurements for understanding ruminal microbial compositions and feed efficiency of beef cattle to improve their productivity.CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS3.0 Minimum Specifications:
Ability to analyze gas fluxes of methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and hydrogen from individual animals
Ability to aggregate and determine herd averages
AC plug
Use of skid for in-barn placement and movement by skid steer
Options for WiFi and cellular data transfer for remote data collection
Ability to autocalibrate
Windows-compatible instrument software to facilitate data entry (with compatible scales), data management, and software support
Capacity to sample up to 30 animals
On-site training and installation
