FLIR MR 277 THERMAL IMAGER TRAINING
AND
INSTITUTE OF INSPECTION, CLEANING AND RESTORATION CERTIFICATION WATER DAMAGE RESTORATION
TRAINING AND APPLIED MOLD RESTORATION TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION TRAINING:
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES (1): Provide hands-on, in-person training on the operation and use of a FLIR
MR 277 thermal imager (one day course) to be followed by a two day in person moisture investigation
course. The provider will offer the course in San Antonio at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center facilities
(3515 S. General McMullen Drive, San Antonio, TX 78226). One Air Force Civil Engineer Center program
manager will audit each course (not as a student) to affirm course quality.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES (2): Provide 3-day virtual training (24 hours) approved by the Institute of
Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IIRCR) organization for certification as a Water
Damage Restoration Technician. Classes shall be dedicated to our personnel and limited to a maximum
class size of 40 students. A total of 140 students will be trained. The vender will have to provide
sufficient classes for a 45-day period to meet the 140-student requirement. The course shall train the
students to:
1. Identify proper drying techniques for various materials and structures
2. Manage communication between customers and insurance companies
3. Apply health and safety regulations and protocols
4. Understand material types and their drying characteristics
5. Operate ventilation equipment, dehumidifiers, and air purifiers
6. Set up and utilize extraction equipment effectively
7. Apply the science of drying and the basics of microbiology to make informed restoration decisions
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES (3) Provide 4-day in-person training (32 hours) approved by the Institute of
Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IIRCR) organization for certification as a Water
Damage Restoration Technician. Classes shall be dedicated to our personnel and limited to 20 students.
A total of 100 students will be trained. The vender will have to provide sufficient classes from 10 Aug to
25 Sep to meet the 100-student requirement. The course shall provide students a comprehensive
understanding of mold and sewage remediation techniques while ensuring the health and safety of
workers and building occupants.
Students will be taught:
• Safety Protocols: Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), essential health precautions, and
safe work practices to protect all personnel.
• Containment Zones: How to design and construct containment chambers, sanitize mold-contaminated
areas, and safely remove mold.
• Microbiology Fundamentals: Understanding key elements of fungi, viruses, and bacteria.
• Humidity and Measurement: Basic principles of humidity control, moisture levels, and measurement
techniques.
• Decontamination Standards: Overview of key industry documents such as the New York City Guidelines
and IICRC S-520.
• Legal Responsibilities: Awareness of legal requirements and liability considerations related to microbial
remediation.
• Antimicrobial Products: Understanding the use and application of biocides, biostats, and other
