STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
Project Title: Relocation of Laboratory Equipment from BDRD to DRMO Letterkenny
1. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this contract is to procure professional moving and transportation
services to securely remove, load, and transport designated scientific laboratory
equipment from the BDRD facility to the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office
(DRMO) / DLA Disposition Services site at Letterkenny Army Depot.
2. SCOPE OF WORK
The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, transportation,
and materials-handling equipment required to safely extract, secure, and transport the
following Government-owned laboratory equipment:
• Five (5) Large Freezers
• Three (3) Incubators
• One (1) Large Sequencer (PacBio)
2.1 Equipment Extraction and Loading
• The Contractor shall safely remove the large PacBio sequencer from its current
location within the BDRD laboratory.
• The Contractor shall navigate the equipment through the facility and load it onto
their transport vehicle utilizing the available loading dock at the BDRD facility.
• All equipment must be adequately secured, padded, and strapped within the
transport vehicle to prevent any damage, shifting, or tipping during transit.
2.2 Transportation
• The Contractor shall drive the secured equipment directly from the origin location
to the specified destination location.
• The Contractor is responsible for all transportation costs, tolls, and necessary
travel requirements.

4. SECURITY AND ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
The following security and access protocols are mandatory for all Contractor personnel
performing services under this contract:
a. Contractors requiring access to perform services at the Government site must
possess a REAL ID and successfully pass Army Installation Environment – 3 (AIE-3) and
National Crime Information Center (NCIC) background checks to gain entry to Fort
Detrick, Maryland.
b. The Government will provide an Identification Badge to the Contractor which they
shall wear during the performance of services at the Government site.
5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
