Description

Specifications for Replacement Motors and Installation Services The Government will transport the boats to and from the installation facility for any location within 200 miles of Ephrata, WA. CLIN 00010: Outboard Motor Purchase of an outboard motor and control system for a 26-foot Boston Whaler. • Current Setup: The Boston Whaler is currently equipped with a V6 Outboard Motor, SN: 06654577, Year: 1998 225 XL EFI. With an extra-long (25-inch shaft). The motor must meet the minimum specifications of a Mercury 225 XL motor with a 25- inch shaft (Extra Long). • Motor Requirements: o Maximum horsepower: 225 ▪ Note: The maximum horsepower supported by the 26 ft Boston Whaler is 238 HP o Cylinders: V6 o Shaft Length 25-inches (Extra Long) o Steering: Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) o Starting: Smart Start Electric o Maximum Trim Range: 20° (-6° to 14°) o Maximum Tilt Range: 73° (-6° to 67°) o Alternator with idle charge o Fuel System: Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) o Fuel Induction System: 24 Valve, DOHC o Fuel type: Gasoline o Engine Type: 4 – Stroke The propeller depth for the motor must be specified appropriately for the 26-foot Boston Whaler. CLIN 00020: Control System Requirements The mechanical control system shall be replaced with a digital control system. The following components are anticipated to be required for replacement, including but not limited to: o Console Control with Trim Mount (Digital Readout) o Ignition Switch o Wiring (Ignition Switch to Motor) o Panel switches o Throttle Shift Cable o Hydraulics o Display Console o Engine mounts and bolts o Starter cabling o Junction box with covering -- 1 of 3 -- o Propeller o Flow Torque Hub Kit CLIN 00030: Installation of Outboard and Control System Installation of an outboard motor and control system (CLIN: 10 & CLIN: 20) onto existing boat. The project involves the removal of the existing motor and the installation of a new outboard motor. This contract involves the replacement of the existing control system and boat mounting system. All necessary adjustments will be made during the installation. Existing components are to be returned to the US Bureau of Reclamation. • Service: The selected vendor will be responsible for the complete installation of the new motor, including any necessary adjustments or modifications to existing mounts, wiring, and controls. • Timeline: Installation should be completed within 90 days of contract award. CLIN 00040: Outboard Motor Purchase of a jet motor for a boat that is currently equipped with a Mercury motor setup. • Current Setup: The 1998 Clark boat is currently outfitted for a 1999 Mercury Jet motor, Model No: 60EOJET45 SN: 06832996. Vendors must ensure their proposed motor will integrate into the existing setup or indicate required modifications for successful installation. • Motor Requirements: o Maximum horsepower: 65 o Fuel type: Gasoline o Propulsion: Jet Drive o Engine Type: 4 – Stroke The propeller depth for the motor must be specified appropriately for a 1998 Clark Boat V-Hull Durasport with Seat. The replacement motor must be able to accommodate a propeller depth that is the same as the existing motor. CLIN 00050: Installation of Boat Motor Installation of a jet motor (CLIN: 40) onto existing boat.
